Direct supplies of crop seeds from Chile to Kazakhstan

The possibility of direct supplies of agricultural seeds from Chile to Russia is being discussed within the framework of cooperation between Rosselkhoznadzor and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Chile.

On average, about 700 tons of crop seeds are exported to the Russian market per year. 98% of these shipments go through European countries: the Netherlands, France, Austria, and Hungary. The forthcoming work between the agencies of both countries will make it possible to seriously expand export cooperation between Russia and Chile.

Now, in order to implement plans to switch to direct seed supplies from Chile to Russia, the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture needs to hold consultations with Chilean industry unions and seed enterprises. During the talks Rosselkhoznadzor thanked the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture for the invitation to visit the country. It is planned that during the visit an audit of seed laboratories will be organized.
